How it works
A sequenced path, not a pile of forms
Most people don't get stuck because divorce paperwork is hard. They get stuck because nobody tells them what order to do it in. The kit fixes the order.
- 1
Select your state
Every kit is built for one state. You start with the residency, venue, and eligibility rules that actually apply to your filing court.
- 2
Get organized
Work through the intake checklists: marriage details, children, income, assets, debts, insurance, and property. Everything lands in the labeled portfolio.
- 3
Prepare your documents
Follow the state form roadmap in sequence, with guidance notes for the fields people most often get wrong or leave blank.
- 4
File and serve
Use the filing-day walkthrough: copies, fees, notarization, e-filing versus counter filing, and completing proof of service correctly.
- 5
Finish and close out
Track the waiting period, prepare the final judgment package, and use the post-divorce checklist for names, titles, and accounts.
Is a DIY kit right for you?
Our kits are designed for uncontested divorces where both spouses broadly agree on the terms. If your case involves contested custody, hidden or complex assets, a business valuation, domestic violence, or a spouse who will not cooperate, we recommend working with a licensed attorney in your state. The kit includes a "when to stop and hire counsel" checklist for exactly this reason.
Divorce Liaison is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice or representation. Our kits are self-help education, organization, and document-preparation guidance only.
